Specialized grounding rod designed exclusively for grounding a lightning protection (lightning arrester) for an electric fence system.
Connecting the lightning protection to the main grounding rod of the electric fence is a mistake — in the event of a lightning strike or strong induced voltage, the current may flow back through the grounding circuit and damage the electric fence energizer.
Therefore, the lightning protection must have its own independent grounding system.

The rod is driven into the ground at a minimum distance of 2 meters from the main grounding rod of the electric fence. It is connected only to the lightning arrester – it must never be combined with the main grounding system.
